Video work

An editing career

I trained in television at the University of Bristol and the BBC, where I worked in Television News for almost 25 years.

As an editor, I worked on film, video tape and computer. I was the first person at the BBC to edit an 'on-the-day' story on computer for the Six O'clock News, previously thought imposssible.

In the last few years I have been making videos for publication on YouTube. In the main these have been recording the work of King's Lynn activists, including:

Many of these reports have also been published on the Counterfire website

I have also recorded some events as poem videos, including:

I have also made a video of a Sikh group singing as part of a Wisbech Interfaith Forum (WIF) event.

KLWIN supporters go to the Norfolk County Council Planning Committee meeting (29 June 2012)

N.B. All of the videos on this site prior to 2016 were shot using a hand-held Sony Cybershot DSC-W55 and edited in iMovie.

I am currently using a Pentax KS-1, and iMovie 10.1.2, though this generation of iMovie is a lot more frustrating than earlier versions.
